@@arkjn20 great questions. The central frequency is difficult to really say with this system because it is a stepped frequency continuous wave. Hi Dan, We have been researching GPR for the last few weeks with a view to purchasing a vehicle mounted system. 88% of roads in Australia are unsealed dirt roads, most of the rest use ultra thin asphalt over approx 150mm to 300mm gravel then natural soils Additional information such as ground water table would be a possible advantage but less of a priority in our case. Air coupled antenna seem a safer option given the poor running surfaces we often encounter would destroy a ground coupled antenna. Do you have any recommendations on the best configurations of antenna ? I've read 2Ghz air coupled and 900 Mhz ground coupled is a good combination. Could we substitute the 900Mhz ground coupled for a air coupled antenna and mount it on the same arm.? Also is there a minimum distance the antennas should be located from a vehicle ?
